Is Vipre becoming a bloated suite ??
My current desktop protection is Norton AV plus Firewall and Counter Spy. When the sub. to Norton runs out shortly my current consideration is Vipre and Sunbelt Firewall.
Looking for information on Vipre, I viewed two web sites which makes me wonder if Vipre can remain slim and trim.
(1) http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter...
(2) http://www.heise-online.co.uk/securit...
(1) Is a summary of changes made to Vipre some time ago in USA and to be implemented in the UK this month, here in Australia ??? Apparently called Vipre Enterprise. Note a firewall is to be added later.
(2) Provides a more detailed interview with Sunbelt CEO. 50 - 60MB definitions update implies many changes.
I have made a brief search for USA web sites to get user reactions. Would be interested in the file size for Vipre Enterprise, current Vipre 70MB.
Would appreciate any information on this question an possible web sites for details.

Inappropriate?Tassie,
VIPRE and VIPRE Enterprise are two separate products. VIPRE is for a single computer whereas VIPRE Enterprise if for an entire network.
We do plan later on allowing customers to integrate our firewall into VIPRE but this is optional.
The update you read about is actually something we're all very excited about. It shouldn't have much impact on system performance. We're still very focused on system performance and wouldn't want VIPRE to become bloated anymore than our customers would.
