Issues concerning Nintendo Wifi Dongle/'Games for Windows Live' online functionality
I've been using your firewall for a short while now as a replacement for my aging copy of Sygate's personal firewall, which started using the CPU way too much. However, I'm unable to use the online fuctionality in games that use 'Games for Windows Live', nor am I able to use my wifi dongle to allow my nintendo consoles to access the internet unless I disable the firewall first. I have in advanced mode, the 'Any other application' settings are set to 'ask' in all four fields.
The Dongle's software has a registration tool (NintendoWFCReg.exe) that acts as a gateway and only allows registered nintendo devices to access the internet, however I get no prompt to allow it to have access from the firewall, so I cannot use it. In Sygate's firewall I could manually add the program to the applications rule list to set rules for it, which made it work. I can't seem to find the same functionality in your firewall however. The dongle has an entry in the trusted area (Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector - Packet Scheduler Miniport) and the checkbox is marked.
With 'Games for Windows Live' enabled software, the online functionality of the GFWL binary is unusable regardless of whether I allow the game in firewall rules list or not. Fallout 3 and Dawn of War 2 are the games I have personal experience of this issue with. I never got to try either of them with Sygate, but Sygate would always ask me if another component was trying to access the internet like an external DLL (I believe GFWL uses xlive.dll in system32.) GFWL gives me the 0x80151909 error, which according to this page means the service is 'not available'. However, if I disable the firewall, it works fine. Sign out, enable it again, it no longer works.
Is it possible to manually add applications? Will it ever be possible? I can work around it by disabling the firewall but that seems to defeat the point somewhat, doesn't it?

Inappropriate?Hi SCC,
I apologize for the inconveniences. You can manually add applications within Sunbelt Personal Firewall.
What you can do is create an Advanced Packet filter rule.
To do this open Sunbelt Personal Firewall,
Go to the "Network Security" tab and under the "Applications" tab on the bottom right click on “Packet Filter”.
Then, click on the ADD button. When the Filter rule window appears, BROWSE for the application that needs access.
Add the protocols needed.
Under local and remote settings add the port ranges needed by your application.
Now, close out of Sunbelt Personal Firewall and accepting the changes by clicking OK, OK, OK.
You have now given that application access to the net.
If you any further problems please feel free to contact our support team at support@sunbelt-software.com or by Phone at 1-877-673-1153 M-F 9am-6pm EST and we will have someone work directly with you.
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Hey SCC,
For the Nintendo Wifi Dongle, You may also need to enable Gateway mode in Sunbelt Personal Firewall.
Open Sunbelt Personal Firewall,
Select the "Network Security" > "Advanced" tab,
Check the box to enable Gateway mode,
Click Apply, then OK. -
Inappropriate?Adding an application does not help fix this problem since the file needing access is a dll and not an exe. Adding through the Packet Filter option only allows you to choose from exe's.
