Microsoft Update error when using SPF: 0x80072EE2
Every time I start Microsoft Update I get the 0x80072EE2 error if SPF is on. When I start Windows Firewall and disable SPF, Microsoft Update works normally.
With SPF on I can choose between Express or Custom update. Whichever I choose it gives me the error.
In my SPF settings I have "Any other Application" set to "Ask" in all four columns. I'm using Windows XP SP3.

Inappropriate?Nikola,
I'm sorry for the late response. If you upgrade to to most recent version of the firewall you shouldn't receive this problem. You can download the latest version from the link below.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the reply.
I downloaded and installed the latest version and rebooted my pc, but the problem persists. I got the same error again. -
Inappropriate?Nikola,
Can we get a screen shot of that error from you as well as your system information? You can send the files to our support department at, support@sunbelt-software.com. We'll look into this and figure out whats going on.
Below are the instructions for obtaining your system information.
Go to Start/Run and type in "msinfo32" and click Ok. Now go to the File Menu and choose Save. Save this export to your desktop and call it system information.
Regards,
Jason Layman
