Inappropriate?Hello,
I have been waiting for the upgrade to see if it helps the problem I have had with my laptop and Vipre. I have Vipre on both my desktop and my laptop and ever since I installed on the laptop the "allow automatic internet access" and both boxes for Threatnet will not stay checked. The only way I can get an update and scheduled scan is to make sure those boxes are checked manually each time I power up the laptop. Nothing I do seems to change this on the laptop but the desktop works fine. Have the same programs running on each. In fact I have some programs running on the desktop which might hinder Vipre but don't. I have reinstalled, and done everything that tech support has suggested but the problem remains even with the newest version.
I’m discouraged

Inappropriate?pvanc, We did discover a work around for that issue.
First set up Vipre to Allow Automatic Internet Access within Vipre, and the other options that have not been sticking.
Then, Navigate to the follow folder location
(In xp) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sunbelt\AntiMalware folder.
(In Vista) C:\ProgramData\Sunbelt\AntiMalware
Right-click the ServiceConfig.xml, select properties, check the box for read-only, click APPLY, than OK.
This should prevent it from changing those settings, but the downside of this is that if you want to change those settings in the future you will need to turn off that read only option on that file.
