Number of files scanned counter on scan details page
Hi! Just downloaded and installed the trial version of Vipre. Updated it and ran a quick scan, which immediately found adware that I could remove and did so. Vipre suggested doing a deep scan since adware was found in the quick scan, so I'm running the deep scan as I type this. I noticed that the only thing the scan details tells me is the elapsed time of the scan. It would be helpful if the scan details section show the total number of files to be scanned and kept a running count of the number of files scanned, as McAfee's scan details page does. Either that or an estimated time to completion countdown timer. Thanks for considering my idea/request.

Inappropriate? Thanks for posting. Actually we do have those same features in VIPRE. The estimated time to completion wont show up until after you run your first Deep scan. VIPRE will then pick of the amount of files you have on your computer and give you an estimated time till completion on each subsequent scan.
The amount of files and the scan details can be viewed again after the scan is completed, from the scan details page. View > Manage Malware > View History. Double clicking on each entry will give you even more details as far as the amount of files scanned.
I hope this is what you were looking for. If it's not, let me know and I can add it in as a feature request. If you need further assistance, you can contact us at support@sunbelt-software.com or call 877-673-1153. Reference ticket number 001-00-233681.

Hi, Jason: Thanks for the explanation. I'll check out the scan details when I run a deep scan. If I have any further questions, I'll send 'em along. Sincerely, Peter
