Outlook Express 6.0 Hangs After Closing the Program during the Drafting of an E-mail

Currently we are in the evaluation stage of implementing the Vipre Enterpise package. We were running Symantec AV prior. Our current issue we encountered with running the VIPRE E-mail Protection along with Outlook Express Version 6 (on Windows XP SP3). What happens is when someone is working on drafting an e-mail and lets say they close Outlook Express while they are working on something else, perhaps out of habit, and they still have their e-mail message up that they are drafting. When they click to send, they get a notification letting them know that the message sent successfully, then when they try and open up outlook again to view their inbox Outlook Express will not open.

In order to open Outlook Express you then have to go to the Task Manager, then to the and highlight msimn.exe and end the process. Then you can click on the Outlook Express Icon on the desktop and open the e-mail program.

Since we have 250+ user using Outlook Express as their e-mail program, this is a major issue we need to have resolved.
