Outlook/VIPRE problem
My Outlook stops all send/receive of email on all accounts. RSS feeds however still work fine.VIPRE active protection being off fixes the problem but I get alot of email and would like to know if there's a way to have Active Protection on AND have my Outlook function as it should.

Inappropriate?Andrew,
Thanks for posting. Do you happen to have any plugins for Outlook running? If you do, try disabling them so we can rule this out as a possible cause. In Outlook go to, Tools > Options, click on the "Other" tab and hit "Advanced Options" under General. Check for addins in the "Add-In Manager" and in the "COM Add-Ins" area.
Let me know if disabling these has any effect.

Inappropriate?I've disabled all the add-ins I can. That being said a few display the following error message "The connected state of Office add-ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed." Sunbelt's add-in is one of these and unfortunately those that i could disable do not seem to have had an effect on my initial problem.

Inappropriate? In the Active Protection Settings, try turing off "Check files when they are opened or copied." Also, change the AP setting to "Low."

Inappropriate?Send/Receive now gets to 66% which his farther than it once did, but it still doesn't let me get any email at all.

Inappropriate? If you turn Email Protection off do you still get the same problem?

Inappropriate?Yeah. I'm sorry to say.

Inappropriate? We have a new build coming out this month which makes some siginificant changes to AP and email scanning. I have a temporary fix that they gave me for AP interfering with email, but it may not fix the problem as yours is a little different.
Just download and run the script below.
