Inappropriate?Dave, thank you for posting your question.
Do you have any other anti-virus programs or anti-spam prorgams that are filtering your email? They could be interfering with Vipre being able to filter the email correctly.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Peter -
Inappropriate?Dave, thank you for contacting Sunbelt Software.
Please open VIPRE. In the top left click File then Settings. Go to the Email Protection tab. Make sure only the "Enable Email Protection" and "I use Microsoft Outlook Express or Windows Mail" options are checked. Was this set this way?
Do you have any other security or anti-spam software installed that would be monitoring email?
What security software have you previously had installed on the system? -
Inappropriate?Yes, that is how it was setup and there is no other sofware monitering the e-mail.

Inappropriate?Dave,
It looks like either something on the system is causing a conflict with VIPRE's Email Protection or this may be due to a bad installation of VIPRE.
Have you had any other security software previously installed on the system? Many anti-virus programs are known to not uninstall properly, leaving files behind which can cause this sort of conflict with other security software installed. If you don't believe this to be the case then I would suggest you follow these instructions to completely remove VIPRE from the system and reinstall the latest version to make sure everything has been installed correctly.
Uninstall VIPRE by using the Add/Remove programs located under the Control Panel. Just follow the directions below:
1. Click on the Start menu and click on “Control Panel”
2. Double-click “Add or Remove” Programs
3. Find “VIPRE Antivirus + Antispyware” in the list and click on it
4. Choose “Remove”
5. Restart your computer
6. Run this cleaner to remove any traces of VIPRE from the system:
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/support/VC/CS&VClean.exe
(If you're using Vista you'll want to download this file to your desktop then right click on the file and click Run As Administrator.)
7. Use the following link to reinstall VIPRE: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/suppo...
8. Click on Download VIPRE.
9. Choose Run and the install will start right after the file is downloaded.
