Try running a scan from safe mode (pressing f8 during start up and choosing Safe mode from the list) In safe mode no other programs load so there is less of a chance that a threat can prevent Vipre from finding or removing an application.1 Comment

I tried this after I posted the message, the scan started in safe mode then looked like it had froze again, no message came up, I then rebooted and it let me delete the file, ran another scan and Viper found it in the bin, quarantined it and I then deleted it from there, so thanks, I hope it has gone now. -
