Scan freezes computer
I started a full scan on my computer (three times) and the screen froze up. I could not move the cursor, I could not do Crtl, Alt, Delete or any thing else. I had to do a hard restart. The quick scan seemed to let me do other tasks though.

What version of Windows are you running? Also what service packs do you have installed? -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem with Vista. I unchecked the root kit scan on the quick scan and it works ok, and the Full scan works. Otherwise the computer freezes as mentioned above.

Inappropriate?same problem as well, running vista, i get about 1 min 25 sec into the deep scan and the computer freezes, having to hard restart it each time. im going to need a solution soon as I need this computer to be working. its too bad because counterspy was working so well for me.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Scan freezes somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds. Whole computer freezes and I have to shut down. Running Windows XP. Very frustrating. I'm angry and wondering why I purchased this product.

Inappropriate?I just update to Counterspy v3.1 today after countless 'apply software updates' messages from the program every time I tried to apply an update and am I disappointed. For one, the program tells me there is an incompatibility problem with Kaspersky 2009 which is disappointing because I never had this issue with v2 and I need active protection its saved me so many times!! Will there be serious implications if I enable active protection? Also I had the same issue as everyone else, about 1min or 2mins into scanning my computer jus freezes and I have to perform a hard restart. Mouse wont respond, music stops. Now I might think twice about updating to Viper next year :( Sad I love this program and have recommended it to many hope they won't have the same issues as me.
