Scan locks, freezes computer,then fails; Updates fail. Can you help?
With Counter Spy 2.5 I have a combination of problems. I have allowed scans for up to 3 hrs before aborting it yet system is not reporting a scan since June.While scanning CPU is nearly 100% and computer Apps come to a crawl; CS reports running normally. Although not current, CS reports that definitions and software are current. I have 2.5, ver.872. While attempting to update, the download does not appear on my computer. I cannot assume that I have had active protection all along. Argggghh!!

I'm sorry for the problems. The upgrade to version 3 should fix all of the old 2.5 issues. Since the auto upgrade does not seem to be working for you, instead of upgrading through the program itself, you can manually upgrade by using the link below and installing it directly over your current version.
