Inappropriate?Hey Dick Wells,
Thanks for posting. First, only custom manual scans can be done. The scheduled scans only allow for quick and deep scans to occur.
Secondly, If you think Vipre removed those icons you can check the blocked and/or quarantined list.
Open Vipre,
Go to VIEW>MANAGE MALWARE>QUARANTINE
If something’s in there that shouldn’t be you can select it, and Choose RESTORE FROM QUARANTINE.
Also check here:
Go to VIEW>MANAGE MALWARE>ALWAYS BLOCKED,
If something’s in there that shouldn’t be you can select it, and either MOVE TO ALLOWED or select REMOVE FROM LIST.
If you need further assistance please feel free to contact our support team at support@sunbelt-software.com or by Phone at 1-877-673-1153 M-F 9am-6pm EST and we will have someone work directly with you.
Thanks,

I can only choose between scheduled "quick scans" or "deep scans." With 3 hard drives -- only one of which needs to be scanned -- deep scans take over 12 hours. If I could schedule my custom scan, the problem would be eliminated. The can would take 20 minutes. Here's the rub: Vipre prides itself as being easy on the system and not bringing it to its knees. When the nightly scan takes half a day, it violates the main design and marketing principle for Vipre. Adding custom scans to the scheduled scans list needs to go to the top of the development queue. Other than that, Vipre works as advertised and I'm happy, but disappointed that daily scans must be run manually (which is never going to happen).
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Hi Greg,
I am going to put in a feature request to be able to schedule custom scans, per your request. Hopefully this can be implemented in a later build. I apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.
Thanks,
~Tim

Inappropriate?I agree that this feature needs to be at the very TOP of the priority list! In my opinion, this could very easily be a 'show stopper'

Inappropriate?I am in the process of evaluating this product. As an advanced user, one of the very FIRST things I tried to do was schedule a custom scan- eliminating the Folders/DIRS that need to be scanned.
I was shocked to see that ONLY deep/quick scans are options for scheduling! I thought I must have missed something and perused the manual and KB until I saw this forum. I would imagine that this should be a non-brainier as a desired feature! And probably not terribly hard to implement.
My 2 cents,

Inappropriate?Hi everyone,
I agree that this feature would be a great addition to our program. We have added this request to development planning system. We'll see what we can do to get this option implemented.
