Server naming questions
If I change the server name which Vipre Ent is installed on do I need to change anything in the program? I have updated the policies but I am wondering if there is anything else that needs to be done.
Also, can I somehow default the remote console on my desktop to have the server name and not my PC's name? Any command line switch for this?

Inappropriate?Before you rename the server, you want to make sure that you change the agent setting to point it to the new server name. This is done on the agent setting tab for each of your policies. Now wait for all your agent to recieve this setting and go inactive.
Now you will want to rename your server to match the name you set in the policies on the agent setting tab. Now all the agent will check into the server after you rename it and reboot the server.
If you did not change the name in the policy first and wait for the agent to recieve the change you would have to manually change the xml file of each agent to get them to check into the new server name, or deploy the agent again to get them pointed at the new server name.
As for you question about the remote console you can change the server it defaults too by adding it to the registry locate the following registry key.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sunbelt Software\CounterSpy\Enterprise
for the Machine name put in the name of the server you want it to default too.
