SPF blocks legitimate network activity
I recently installed SPF on a laptop running Windows Vista using the automatic mode, since the user was not experienced. Once SPF was installed, the network printer (over a wireless network) would not work. SPF also blocked access to the shopping cart of a reliable online merchant. In the end, I had to uninstall the product since I did not want to use the ask mode (which I use and often have to respond to situations where I thought I told SPF how to respond to this item in the past). How do I make this product work?

Inappropriate?Hello Bruce,
Thank you for posting, sorry to hear that you are having trouble.
To allow file and print sharing for your home network.
Under network security, select the predefined tab and hit set to defaults
Next select the trusted area and make sure that local area connection has a checkmark in it
Then under applications set Microsoft file and printer sharing(netbios) to permit for both in and out under trusted

To resolve the issue with the problem you experienced with the shopping cart,
Please go to the Web Tab on the left,
Please Uncheck Enable Web Filtering
Disabling Web filtering does not compromise any security however it is just a added feature.
Please contact us directly and tech will work with you if these suggestions do not work..
Regards,
Perry
