Sunbelt Personal Firewall affects the network functionality???!!!

I got a consusing yet frustrating problem with SPF. The problem is that, i can not anymore see the computers in the network since i installed SPF on all of them. I searched for some solutions here BUT nothing happened. I tried everything; i changed SPF settings of Network Security to permit for all of the module as well as in Predefined and i added the network in the trusted as well but nothing hapened. I even disabled NIPS and HIPS BUT again nothing solved. Ironically, i even disabled the SPF itself completely BUT i still can not see the networked computers. THE PROBLEM was SOLVED only when i completely unistalled all of SPF from all of the computer which of course can not be called a solution.
would you please help me with this.

Inappropriate?Thank you for your post. The following settings need to be made on all computers in order to allow file and print sharing for your home network.
Under network security, select the predefined tab and hit "Set to defaults".
Next select the trusted area and make sure that local area connection has a checkmark in it.
Then under applications set "Microsoft file and printer sharing" to permit for both in and out under trusted.
Please let me know if you have any further issues.

Inappropriate?I own the SPF.. it seems to work fine but have the same problem as you no network connnectivity..
I bought Network Magic and installed that things work marginally better but SPF FAQ says to set it to allow all programs to get out.. So Thats useless from a security point of view..
I removed it (SPF) and installed ZonaAlarm on the various machines. Now everybodys connected nicely
