Sunbelt Personal Firewall -- error "already installed"
I'm trying to install Sunbelt Personal Firewall on a Dell Inspiron 700m laptop with Windows XP Pro. I get a message "Error: already installed" and the installation is rolled back. Yet there's no sign of the firewall on the computer (e.g. under Programs or in the tray).
This may relate to an earlier failed installation of the firewall which involved a freeze-up and forced restart (power off). I've tried to do an uninstall of the firewall but the Control Panel Uninstall doesn't show any sign of Personal Firewall.
I have VIPRE installed and it's working fine.

That did the trick, Perry. As I suspected, the aborted initial try at installation must have left some misinformation in the Registry. Thanks for the quick response. -
