unable to detect internet tcp/ip connection to update definitions
vipre does not detect my internet connection via tcp/ip so that it can update my definitions and risks. I am running version 3.1.1606.1 def ver. 2353 please help I just got this. my mcafee expired so Im trying vipre and i have to say mcafee was much easier to setup

Thank you for contacting technical support.
Please open up Internet Explorer, click on Tools and select Internet Options.
Once there, go to the Connections tab, click on LAN Settings, please verify that "Automatically detect settings" is checked.
It also appears that you're running on an older software version, please uninstall that version and download the latest version which is 3.1.2710 from the link provided below.
