VIPRE
After buying VIPRE I have trouble opening my E-Mail. have to restart PC first. also, when VIPRE is scanning, i have trouble with mouse commands. Pointer jumps around and new windows are slow to open. You said that VIPRE doesn't slow things down. I have a Dell 4600 with 1 G mem. running Firefox on XP SP2.

Inappropriate?Thank you for posting. If you have active protection enabled VIPRE is going to monitor everything you do while you're on your computer, this includes opening/accessing files and so forth. However, if you have another active monitoring system in conjunction with VIPRE, they can butt heads causing things to run slower than normal. The same goes for email protection. If you have any other type of active monitoring, try turning it off and see if everything settles down.

Inappropriate?VIPRE running in the back ground is not ment to slow things down. When ever you are running a scan with any anti-malware program, it will take up your computers resources. This is why we have the scheduled scan feature so that you can schedule a scan for a time when you are not using the computer. As far as your email, what email client do you use and what is the error when you try and open it? Do you have VIPRE's email scanner enabled?
