Vipre does NOT work!
Hi. I am using Kerio Firewall nd Counterspy for a long time and I am totally satisfied. Some time ago I ordered Vipre. This is the worst, unstable, beta, beta software I ever had. It is incompatible with Drivecrypt, the best encryption software ever. Please give me a refund for the 9,99 $. Otherwise, I will never buy a sunbelt product again.

Inappropriate?May be, but until now, Kerio and Counterspy (both also from Sunbelt) ran without problems in my computer and both programs did a great job (without any crash). After upgrading to Vipre the computer crashed several times (bluescreens). I had never before bluescreens. The last crash destroyed the preboot "bootauth" from Drivecrypt Plus Pack. I was happy to have a restore cd. Everything is running fine again without vipre.

Rest assured that VIPRE went through months of testing with thousands of beta testers. However, if we missed something, we'll certainly fix it.
There are also other possible issues, including an incompatibility with that version of Kerio. We have released a new version of the Sunbelt Personal Firewall (previously Kerio) that fixes a conflict -- it's available through the Sunbelt Personal Firewall Update.1 Comment

Hi Alex, thank ou for the fast reply. I forgot to say, that I am using w2k SP4 with all updates installed. maybe this is the reason for my trouble. Was the software testet under w2k too? Or did the beta testers run xp? -

I found out, what the problem is. Counterspy 3.1 and Vipre do quarantaine the file dcppaid.exe. This file is part of the best encryption software. It comes from Securstar and is called Drive Crypt Plus Pack. It would be nice, if you would correct your software, that is is not anymore blocking this file. Please tell me, after you will have fixed the problem.
