Vipre Notification On File Access won't shut up
After installing the VIPRE trial I get a constant VIPRE Notification: On File Access, as pictured. The dialogue can not be set to auto-ignore the same program in the future. The advice I found on the site states to set the file type to ignore, but it's Opera.exe. I can't ignore .exe programs in my scanner. I also found the advice in the manual to set the protection to low, but this doens't work. The Notification seems to pop up on all non-Microsoft/Sunbelt .exe files on my Vista machine.

Inappropriate?Thank you for posting.
Go to View > Manage Malware > Always Allow. Select the Add button at the bottom and add "Opera.exe" as an exception. You should not receive the notification after adding it to the Allow List.

I'm having this problem incessantly (x20 repetitions one after another) after just upgrading to Vipre 3.1.2710. It's been doing it on regular programs I used before this update; i.e. RealPlayer, PowerDVD; DVD Flicka. I'm using XP Pro SP2. -
Andrew, Thank you for posting your question.
This problem could be caused a error during the installation, I suggest that you uninstall Vipre using add/remove prorgams in the control panel, then reinstall it using the following link to get the new version, http://www.sunbelt-software.com/suppo...
if you continue to have problems with it blocking legitimate programs please let us know.
Thanks,
Peter
