Vipre reports false positives during soft installations.
Lately I get tons of false positives with Vipre, specifically when running software installations that are 100 safe. I'd get reports of suspicious files dozens of times during an installation. Is there a preference I should set to get rid of these?

Inappropriate?ge0se,
We are no longer monitoring this website. In the future to get support I'd suggest going to our support forums at:

I can tell you though that this issue is caused because you have the "Prompt for action if VIPRE determines a program has suspicious characteristics" option enabled in the Active Protection settings. This option is disabled by default. With this option enabled it put VIPRE into a somewhat paranoid mode where it will prompt you whenever it sees anything trying to write to certain parts of the system. With this option enabled you will often even see things such as Windows Updates being flagged as suspicious. It is suggested to leave this option disabled unless you need to very closely monitor what is happening on the system.
