Inappropriate?5031.
I guess I just had to add c:\windows\explorer.exe to the list of allowed programs. That's pretty silly that I have to to that. -
Inappropriate? No disagreement there. Curious, did VIPRE flag explorer as a "known bad" or an "unknown/suspicious program"? if it was the latter, then adjust your Active Protection settings down to Low or Medium (if not there already).
-
Inappropriate?Unknown/suspicious. I'm at the default (medium) setting now.
-
Inappropriate?Ok, if it's" unknown/suspicious", it's a customizable behavior alert and it won't be quarantined unless you tell it to. If it's flagged as "known bad", that's a whole different story, it means it's a false positive.
You can fine-tune how aggressive VIPRE is in its behavior blocking through the AP setting. You might just consider going to "Low". -

It sounds like the Active Protection Monitors themselves are set a little too high, but we'd need to look at the logs to verify.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? Thanks. This is not an issue for me anymore, because it is simple enough to add explorer.exe to the allowed programs list.
