Vipre UI will not start and Active Protection turns itself off.
1. The Vipre UI will not start. Double click the Vipre icon, but nothing happens. I can see that the SBAMUI.exe process has started in the taskmanager. If I click again, another instance of SBAMUI.exe will start. But no UI is seen on the screen.This happens on several machines and servers.

There could be a problem with the installation, please use these steps to uninstall Vipre and then reinstall it.
1.Click 'start', and click 'control panels.'
2. Double Click on 'Add or Remove Programs.'
(VISTA: Double click 'Programs and features.')
3. Please look for VIPRE.'
4. Click 'Change'.
5. You will receive a prompt that asks you 'Remove All Items'. Please choose 'Yes' and click 'next.'
6. Please follow the rest of the prompts until you are able to click 'Finish.'
7. You will be asked to restart your computer, please do so.

2. Your web browser will ask you “Do you want to run or save this file?” Please Click Save. Save this file to the desktop.
3. A box will appear that asks you where you want save. Look for the save in field and then click on it. Look for the desktop and then click on it. Then click save.
4. When it is done downloading, you will receive another box that asks “do you if you want to run this file?” Choose yes.
5. You will receive an internet explorer warning. It says “Do you want to run this software?” Click run.
6. The setup wizard will run when you first start Vipre to walk you the setup.

Inappropriate?First of all, I am running the Enterprise Version.
I did uninstall it and then reinstall it. It worked for a while. Then Vipre gets really unstable. The tray icon is not always there. When trying to run the sbamui.exe manually, from explorer, the splash screen just sits there.. loading. I had to restart the Vipre Enterprise service to get it working again.

Thank you for contacting support. What operating system are you running? Are you useing the latest version of the enterprise agent 3.1.3744?
I have seen a small issue with Vista machines were the Agent UI is a little slow to open if you give it a little time it wil open and function normally. As for the active protection with the new agent when you push the agent AP will not enable until the machine is rebooted.

Inappropriate?Agent Version is set to 2744. I click "Update Now" in the enterprise console, but it doesnt download a new version. Threat DB version is 5112.

Inappropriate?If you do an update now it will push the agent right over top of what is already on the machine. With the 3.1.2744 agent it requires a reboot after the upgrade or being repushed to the machine. Please reboot the system and active protection will enable.
