Inappropriate? Thanks for posting. Do you have your auto updates set for when your computer starts up and are you able to update manually? Also, if the auto update time is missed, it will attempt to update when you wake up your computer. Make sure you have a constant internet connection when this happens.
If you need further assistance, I have created a ticket for you for our support department, just email support@sunbelt-software.com or call 877-673-1153, and we will have someone work one-on-one with you on this. Reference ticket number 001-00-234877.

Still a problem in version 3.1.2315 -- when my computer comes out of sleep mode, Vipre jumps the gun and tries to connect to the Internet before my computer is ready for Intenet connections. Vipre should wait for a minute before it attempts to connect. This happens EVERY time my computer comes out of sleep mode. -
JerryA,
When you wake your computer, Vipres auto update interval is going to reset and start over from the time the computer awakes, since it cant update while it's sleeping. This is the way it was designed. I will bring this up to development and see if they can put a wait timer in there to give the pc time to establish a connection. For the time being, you can either let the first update fail and it will check again later, depending on what you have your update interval set at, or you can turn the auto updates off and do manual updates.

Inappropriate?Ok, I contact the support and the reply was to uninstall Vipre, clean up with MSI & Vipre cleaner then install it again.
The problem is still here, I get this annoying error message when I start up my computer from rest mode.
Vipre should not enable automatic updates when the computer is in restmode or nobody is log on.
I like Vipre, except for the automatic updates.
I’m not happy

Inappropriate?Hi Christian,
I apologize for the continued inconveniences. Please reply to your support email and the tech will be able to further assist you. They may need to gather some logs from Vipre to see what is causing this.
Thanks,
Tim -
I'm having the same problem with Vipre's Auto updates disabling itself every time I reboot. I've been in contact with Sunbelt several times and done a reinstall twice and sent them logs twice..the last time was a week ago but still no answer and no results..JOR
