VIPRE version update !!
Hi Guys.
My current version of VIPRE is 3.1.2315. My threat definitions are up to date.
I understand that the current version available is 3.1.2416.
Updates are enabled.
Why has my version not been updated automatically ??
Surely I should not have to do a new full download !!

We just released the hotfix. Unfortunately, since yours has not been automatically updated we will need to manually upgrade.
Use the link below to download the new Vipre 3.1.2416:

Save this file then run it once the download is complete. This will install right over the top of the older version.

Yep, checked the link. 69.92 MB download. The complete works. without the latest definitions updates.
OK on the hotfix.
It leaves me a little "pissed off", as I have slow dial up, and will have to stay on line over night to download it at an average of 5KB/second.
Will the hotfix provide an incremental automatic programme update in future ???
I do not trust complete installations such as this, so I shall save the definitions folder in case the current definitions are lost.
The saving of this definitions folder is detailed by me, several weeks ago in this forum.

Unfortunately, with a program upgrade such as this, the entire installer would need to be downloaded whether internally upgrading or manually upgrading.
