Vipre vs. installed software
I've had several issues with Vipre interfering with legitimate programs. It consistently deletes the exe file for Breeze Systems Downloader Pro and Breezebrowser. I've had to go in and exclude both those programs. In addition, I have both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Photoshop CS4 installed. Until I excluded those, it took minutes to load either one. After exclusion, they came up in seconds. I've never had an antivirus program do this sort of thing before. I like the product otherwise. Please take a look.

Inappropriate? If you continue to experience problems with slowdowns like this you can turn off the "Check files when they are opened or copied" option. To do this, open VIPRE and click on Files>Settings. Go to the Active Protection tab. You'll find the option here.
