virus preventing download, install of latest definiton files
I have installed CounterSpy via flasdrive and installed it successfully on an infected Windows XP system. The problem is that the virus is preventing me from installing the latest updates/definitions after I install CounterSpy. I can't even connect to Windows Updates. What can I do to get these latest updates installed. I already scanned with the definitions that came with the download but it didn't cleanup the virus completely.

Thanks for posting the question. We do have a utility that will allow you to install the latest definitions when the infected machine can't reach the internet.
Download the following file and save it to your Flash drive. Then run the .exe file on the infected computer. it will overwrite the existing definition files with the latest ones.
We update this same link with the latest definitions, so you can use it whenever it's needed.
