Vundo Virus on my system with Vipre installed.
Does Vipre include CMD line / DOS Shell protection when opening a file or running a program? Picked up Vundo Virus when I opened a readme file (just downloaded). It must have run a script because I saw the CMD window open. Next, I had the Vundo Virus. Vipre did nothing to stop it. Running current version of Vipre, Vista Business Firewall, BreakWater Hardware Firewall. UAC enabled. Free Malwarebytes did clean it.

If you were running it inside windows, then it should have been scanning those dos programs with the active protection.

Peter is right. VIPRE should of detected and removed that infection.
