Where is Vipre 3.1 Beta 6 update?
I am getting a service stopped working message in Vista Home Premium. This below is the solution that Windows Problems and Solutions reports back to me. However, it would appear to me by reading the version for my Vipre product, Software version says 3.1.2710
Current Vipre version says 3.2.2028.2
So why would I get the message to update Vipre 3.1 Beta 6?

Inappropriate?Chris,
The service is crashing on your system for some reason. We've seen a few reports of this happening since the software update that was sent out last week. In almost all cases it was just a bad installation of the software update. Please follow these instructions to completely remove VIPRE from the system and do a clean install of the latest version. Please make sure you have a copy of your activation key as you'll need it after reinstalling.
Uninstall VIPRE by using the Add/Remove programs located under the Control Panel. Just follow the directions below:
1. Click on the Start menu and click on “Control Panel”
2. Double-click “Add or Remove” Programs
(Programs and Features in Vista)
3. Find “VIPRE Antivirus + Antispyware” in the list and click on it
4. Click “Change”
5. Allow the uninstaller to restart the computer
6. Run this cleaner to remove any traces of VIPRE from the system:
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/support/VC/CS&VClean.exe
(If you're using Vista you'll want to download this file to your desktop then right click on the file and click Run As Administrator.)
7. Use the following link to reinstall VIPRE: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/suppo...
8. Click on Download VIPRE.
9. Choose Run and the install will start right after the file is downloaded.
Please let us know if you're still experiencing any trouble after doing this. -
There is no icon in the lower right side system tray as there was before. Only after a scan I see one. -

Inappropriate? It may have corrected the problem, time will tell. However, there is the matter of the Vipre icon not appearing in the lower right side of the screen, "system tray"?, An icon appears after a scan but not during one.
I’m bitten and twice shy.
