Why am I required to authenticate when pushing a client, when I've used my Windows Auth to log in?
Why when pushing clients from the VIPRE Enterprise console am I asked to authenticate to the target computer? The console is running on one of our Windows Server 2003 machines, which I'm connecting to as a Domain Administrator. We log into the console using Windows Auth. When I do a deployment, I am asked to enter my credentials to authenticate with the client, which is in the domain. I'm also required to do this for every machine I deploy to at once. Why doesn't the console use the credentials I'm logged in with, and only prompt me when it's unable to authenticate?

Inappropriate?The console should only prompt you when it is unable to log in using it's current credentials.

I found that if I don't click the 'Use Windows Auth' and type in my password, the push works without requiring authentication for each client. The logon screen for the console doesn't seem to want to remember my domain, rather it tries to log me into the computer each time. Is there a way to set that to my domain by default? On another note, is it possible to populate the server drop down with more than one server? Thanks! -
Inappropriate?The in the auto deployment section of the console you may specify different credentials for it to try during manual and auto deployment. This could prevent it from asking you over and over again. You may also receive that popup if the agent isn't responding to our requests, IE. it's not turned on.
You may type in other servers into that drop down field, and the console should save them.
