Why can I not complete a deep scan
I recently updated from CounterSpy to Vipre. Now I cannot complete a deep scan. Quick scan without problems. Vipre always getting stuck on same file in Temporary Internet Files. Freezes computer requiring hard restart. Computer slower than ever.

Inappropriate?Thank you for posting.
Under the Vipre scan settings, try turning off Rootkit Detection, then run another Deep Scan to see if it completes.
Regardless of the result, we will need to get some logs from you so we can figure out what may be causing this. Contact our support department at support@sunbelt-software.com or call 877-673-1153. Reference ticket number, 001-00-235936.

Disabling root kit detection didn’t work for me. Will now contact support -
Inappropriate?Hi Jason,
I currently have an open ticket with Mary Beth Clemons about this same issue. My emailed attached logs were spammed by your servers. I resent them again.
The reason I am on this forum is from my desperation to fix this problem on my home computer. From what I can tell from this forum and my Google search, this problem is not that new.
It is reassuring that Sunbelt has taken initiative of this problem, but my previous Counterspy version 2.1 worked just fine. It is very counterproductive to troubleshoot XP because I am not an IT specialist.
I am putting alot of faith in this company because I am satisfied with all your products for the past couple of years...
thanks for your time... -
Inappropriate? The scan freeze issue is one of our top priorities in development at the moment. Unfortunately this one seems to be a little hard to figure our since it only happens with some of our customers, but we are working hard to get this fixed as soon as possible.
Follow up with Mary Beth so we can narrow it down and sure you dont have anything conflicting, which I have seen on a few occasions.

Inappropriate?I had to completely uninstall Comodo firewall for the problem to go away. Deactivating it would not work.
