Why can't I open WordPerfect and Word now??
This is not pleasant. I just saw a guy with somewhat the same problem I had who hadn't got it answered in 3 months. I just bought Counterspy 3.1, downloaded it, ran both a Quick and Deep scan, got rid of 2 Trojans and numerous other gophers. Thereafter, however, I could not open either WordPerfect or Word. I have an appellate brief due in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals Monday, and I can't use my computer!!! Help!!!

I apologize for the inconveniences this has caused. Try disabling CounterSpy's Active protection by right-clicking on the CounterSpy icon by your system clock to see if it is blocking these applications.
If Word and Wordperfect still do not open, then we'll need to open CounterSpy and check the Blocked list and the quarantine list to see if it was accidentally Blocked.
Open Vipre/CounterSpy,
Go to View > Manage Malware > Always Blocked
Also, go to View > Manage Malware > Quarantine
Check both of these locations and make sure WordPerfect or Word is not there. If they are remove them.
