Inappropriate?Hi clsxplor,
I apologize for the inconveniences this has caused. VIPRE attempted to update it's software version. During the upgrade process it removes the old version and upgrades to the new version. For some reason the reinstall failed, and is the reason for the absence of VIPRE.
Please follow the instructions below to reinstall VIPRE.
1. Click on the following link to download VIPRE:
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/support/VC/SBVIPRE_EN.3.1.2710.exe
2. Your web browser will ask you “Do you want to run or save this file?” Please Click Save. Save this file to the desktop.
3. A box will appear that asks you where you want save. Look for the save in field and then click on it. Look for the desktop and then click on it. Then click save.
4. When it is done downloading, you will receive another box that asks “do you if you want to run this file?” Choose yes.
5. You will receive an internet explorer warning. It says “Do you want to run this software?” Click run. -
Inappropriate?Yes, an interesting feature - or is that "upgrade". The first thing I knew about it was when Windows Home Server started screaming. I guess that this bonus might be removed RNS.
I’m somewhat surprised

Inappropriate?I'm running Vista 64 bit, and the same happened to me. I'm not impressed, downloading that update isn't option for me at this time, bandwidth caps are very low and costly where I live.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Gary,
If you aren't able to download the update it may still be stored on your system. For Windows XP the file should be stored here:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sunbelt\AntiMalware\Downloads
For Windows Vista it should be stored here:
C:\Programdata\Sunbelt\Antimalware\Downloads
You can just run the SBVIPRE_EN.3.1.2710.exe file that you see here to reinstall VIPRE.

Now, Nick H, that's a useful answer - which your colleague TimN ought to have known and disseminated. It's called joined-up thinking. Something an ITIL-driven Helpdesk ought to spot. -
ive tried this but i get a message saying error 1500 another installation is in progress and that i must complete that installation before continuing. I am clueless on a pc and and all i know is that i cant delete virpre and reinstall and that wizard installation appearing every 2 seconds on my screen is becoming annoying. I wish I had never tried to install the update !! -
Inappropriate?Claire, Thank you for posting your problem.
Normally that 1500 error can be resolved by restarting the computer.
Please try that and then see if you can run the installer.
Please let us know if you continue to have problems.
Thanks,
Peter
