Windows 7 Compatibility
Have the current versions of Vipre and Sunbelt Personal Firewall been tested against the versions of Windows 7 that are circulating? I will be beta testing Windows 7 when it is available to beta testers.

I'm unsure whether VIPRE or the firewall will work correctly on the Windows 7 beta but I can tell you that it will not officially be supported on Windows 7 until it is out of beta. -

Inappropriate?I installed latest PF in Windows 7 beta. After system reboots, it hangs just before welcome screen. Only option is to do a system restore. Pity, as I like PF. I have been using Kerio/sunbelt for years now. Guess I'll have to wait for a compatible version.

Inappropriate?Vipre is working well here with Windows 7. In fact, I just updated my license to a "Home Site License" so I could test it on several PCs in both 32 and 64 bit mode.
The only glitch I've seen lately is an error message in Windows 7 "Action Center" that says Vipre is reporting its status in a format Windows 7 no longer supports. Hmm.....

Because WIndows 7 is still in beta we do not have a version that is compatible with it. We are working to ensure that once the final version of Windows 7 is released we can have a version of Vipre and the Sunbelt Personal Firewall that will work with them.

Inappropriate?I understand the beta issue. I'm keen though to see a win 7 compatible product, as a lot of those I would be keen to push an affiliate sale to are geeky types that are already running win 7 RC.
