Yeah, Error 1402 no access to registry key

Running upgrade for Counterspy Enterprise Agent on desktop to V3. I get this error message while trying to install:

Error 1402 Could not open key: pathfile for registry key. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your suppport personnel.

The PC is running Windows XP SP2. I'm logged in as administrator with full priviledges and rights. Any help is appreciated.
