Empty result after extracting iPhone OS Files backup
I always get an empty directory after extracting iPhone OS Files backup.
I am using iPhone OS 3 beta 2 with no encryption on a Leopard machine.
Am I missing something?
Appreciate if you can help me.
thx
sam

Inappropriate?I haven't fully tested against the iPhone OS 3.0 yet. I've heard some reports that it works but some people seem to be having this 'empty folder' issue.
I aim to have it working by the time 3.0 is shipping. -
Inappropriate?I get lots of these errors in the console when I run it:
9/7/09 9:32:20 AM iPhone Backup Extractor[28536] Write file failed (null)
The resulting folder is always empty. Any progress on this? -
Inappropriate?I'll have some time to look into this next week. Can you tell me what versions of iTunes, OS X and iPhone OS you are on?

Inappropriate?(Almost) same problem here... running Extractor results in only a Media folder with camera photos, but no other db info.
iTunes 9
OS X 10.6
iPhone 3.1 -
Inappropriate?Hi Ben,
I've been testing this today and it seems to extract everything just fine here.
Unfortunately, it's very hard to track these problems down without being able to recreate them. If you would feel comfortable sending it, I can explain how you can send me your backup folder so that I can investigate this problem properly.
Cheers,
PK
