why doesn't the extractor-ino extract all of the files? ? ?
so, i'm new to this program and when i use it i have one major problem, though otherwise i'm sold. basically, i do the backup extract and it only does a patchwork of my files. example: file 1 (yes) file 2 (yes) . . . where is file 3? 4? 5? . . . then it does 6, 7, 8 ad infinitum until it doesn't again, 66, 67, where's 68? 69? i'm using this on a shit sound recorder program that had problems in transfer but none of the problem files in extractor match with those. so i dunno, it could be connected but i seriously doubt it. thanks!

Inappropriate?Is it possible that the recording app is numbering the files sequentially and not reusing file numbers when you delete them? For example, you record 5 files, delete the 3rd and then record another one but instead of reusing the number 3 for the file it carries on to 6?
You can test this in your case by playing the forth file on your iPhone and checking if it matches the file numbered 6 in the backup. -

i'm sad to say that this suggestion did not remedy the problem. the files are in sequence, not missing etc. sadly, too, many of the missing files are big ones that i have been trying to get for some time. sigh* what to do?

Inappropriate?Sorry for the delay — if you still have this backup, would you zip up the ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync backup and send it via Mobile Me (or any other file sharing website you use) to padraig.kennedy@gmail.com
