API or "hidden" email to for other web services in LaterLoop. Last reply on July 04, 2008 20:20.

Will there be an API, so that Feed Readers (like my http://social-reader.com) can implement your "read later" functionality for items?

Or would it be ok to use the "E-Mail to LaterLoop" feature (hidden in background) to archive the same effect?

How do I get on the Twitter API Whitelist? in Twitter.

What is the fastest way to get on the Twitter API whitelist? I am creating a mashup that incorporates a trust API which will allow a user to encrypt updates so that only members of a trusted group can read them. Testing this mashup is extremely difficult with a limit of 20 calls / hours.

Please add an API for application developers in Plurk. Last reply on July 04, 2008 04:50.

Title says it all, really. I'd love to be able to extend Plurk by writing applications that touch it, but I can't see a way to do that now. Can we expect an API so that we can develop apps for Plurk?

I love the discover-on-URL, discover-on-domain, fallback-to-emailtoid path you recommend. Any tips on how to do this with existing libraries (mostly the JanRain libraries).

Tweet Limit Exceeded in Twitter. Last reply on June 11, 2008 20:27.

I haven't signed on with a twitter client for over a day now and my client still says that I've been paused. "Limit exceeded, paused 5 mins." I've tried multiple different clients. This has been happening now for about a week.

API Limit Exceeded in Twhirl, Twitterific, etc. in Twitter. Last reply on June 06, 2008 01:50.

    Help!

I love Twitter and use it all the time, but I seem to have gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. Something is connecting to Twitter as me and using up all my API connections so that I'm not actually able to connect from any of the clients I regularly use (Twhirl, Twitterific). I can connect fine through the web at twitter.com or on hahlo.com from my iPhone.

There doesn't seem to be any way that I could find to get a list of which apps are authenticating as me and/or to block them. I'm not really sure how to resolve this since I can't figure out what's causing the problem. Hope you can help! I want my Twitter action back.

urls from api won't show up in stats in Tweetburner.

i'ld like to have my blog posts posted to twitter using twitterfeed. unfortunately i can't view the stats of my urls - they won't show up. urls created manually after login work fine. i've already started a discussion with mario menti, who kindly gave me a link to your api http://tweetburner.com/api. there seems to be no login procedure implemented, as far as i can see. now how can we connect my urls-via-api with my profile on tweetburner? or have i misunderstood something here? :-]

    Adding Virb.com... can u?/would u? in Ping.fm. Last reply on July 03, 2008 04:07.

    Hi Pingers,

I signed up for your service yesterday, and I'm really looking forward to using it, it looks great! i've even signed up for more of the services listed as I'm sure so many will just "because we can!"

I wanted to drop you a note and enquire about the possibility of integrating Virb.com? I'm a web developer and social networker and think Virb would be a very worthy addition, however I haven't looked into whether or not they have any kind of API so my suggestion comes to you with no research what-so-ever.

Add support for OAuth in Secondbrain. Last reply on July 03, 2008 01:54.

It would make a great deal of sense, once you've offered an API, to use OAuth for authorization. Indeed, once you add support for OpenID, it will be essentially necessary anyway! ;)

How about an API method to query on crippled functions in Twitter. Last reply on July 01, 2008 18:52.

You might have seen the overheard feature here at Get Satisfaction. One of the most important pieces to the feature is that when a tweet gets converted into a topic, we tweetback so that the original user gets a chance to respond and take part in the new conversation.

Our problem occurred when twitter recently turned of @ replies to deal with load. Our tweetback process has no way of knowing this, and as such went about its merry way tweeting back into twitter, but not really accomplishing its desired function.

It would be awesome if we could call into your API and see that @ replies have been turned off so that we can delay our tweetbacks until they will be useful again.

Does that make sense? I'll be your bestest friend if we could have something like that.

Custom color/style for badge icons in API? in Fluid. Last reply on July 02, 2008 17:13.

I'd love to see support for different badge colors/types - I'm currently using a custom userscript with Harvest (timetracking) to show my current hours, and I'd like to be able to use different colors to indicate if the timer is running.

    Great product :-)

wuala proper graceful shutdown methods - (with) traybar icon missing in Wuala. Last reply on July 02, 2008 15:03.

sometimes wuala is missing its tray icon (win32). sometimes when auto-logon to windows xp (for example autologin with tools like powertoys/tweakui) is activated, the wuala trayicon cant be created/registered as the traybar (explorer.exe components or such) havent been started yet.

im not into win32 api details, but i think i remember that with at least winxp and later windows builds new methods and calls have been implemented into windows to recreated/redraw/register the tray icons and tray-related stuff in case explorer.exe / desktop crashes or restarts and things like that.

please make wuala work properly with the windows tray area or at least add a real quit/shutdown icon on the wuala logon window, as wuala can only be exited properly with rightclick on the traybaricon and "exit" there for example when wuala is logged out. when the traybar icon is missing, there is only the really unclean and hardcore killing way of the wuala.exe process left for quitting wuala, which isnt really nice i suppose.

also, wuala doesnt react properly to wm_quit message that i tried to send with process.exe tool from beyondlogic guys.

    C:\>process -q wuala.exe

Command Line Process Viewer/Killer/Suspender for Windows NT/2000/XP V2.03
Copyright(C) 2002-2003 Craig Peacock beyondlogic org
Sending PID 832 'wuala.exe' WM_CLOSE Message. Timeout is 60 seconds.
wuala.exe (PID 832) failed to respond to WM_CLOSE. Terminating Now.
Sending PID 832 'wuala.exe' WM_CLOSE Message. Timeout is 60 seconds.
wuala.exe (PID 832) has been closed successfully.

so maybe you guys can add proper wm_close message handling of the wuala main app, or fix the traybar/trayicon handling or add a real shutdown/exit function also to the logon-window or the main wuala window too.

    would be great thanks.

Spongecell integration into my website in Spongecell. Last reply on July 02, 2008 14:38.

If I want to integrate Spongecell into my website, and allow people to create events within my webpage layout and not appear as if they are leaving my site - do I have to then use the API to accomplish this? Or is not possible at all.

Rage, fury, unwelcome API dialogue box in Twitter. Last reply on July 01, 2008 18:37.

Every time I do virtually anything on any of my Twitter accounts, a dialogue box pops up titled "Authentication Required." Inside it instructs me to "Enter username and password for 'Twitter API' at Http://twitter.com. Then "User Name:" followed by a place to enter it, "Password:" followed by a place to enter that, then a checkbox with the instruction "Use Password Manager to remember this password." Finally, there are "OK" and "Cancel" buttons.

I hit the X to get rid of it each time it appears (usually pops up twice for each action I take).

Here's the weirdness: I have NOTHING to do with a Twitter API. I am not a developer. Just a hapless user.

So, anyone have any idea why this is happening and, more to the point, how to permanently stop it? Thanks.
