Some edits are incorrectly shown in history. in PBwiki. Last reply on June 28, 2008 21:00.
Why is that some changes show in history (both in "all changes" and while comparing past versions of a page) as "only formatting differences", while in fact they were full-fledged page edits, new text added and all? Only way to actually discover what the changes were is to manually compare the two versions in history . -

IHM feature requests in I Heart Movies. Last reply on June 26, 2008 21:34.
What are some features you'd like added to IHM? We've heard from people individually and have many ideas already, but what's your big idea that you'd like us to add? What do you think could make us all around better for you? -

Why can't I log now, it says email address already taken, once I am in! in Twitter. Last reply on June 20, 2008 07:55.
i have 2 twitter profile registered with same email address, and i can't log on now. First one was apparently removed, but that's not true. Twitter, as Facebook, never delete all information from a user, right? So now I can't change anything on my profile. And old profile still exist. -

UPDATE for May 5th, 2008 in I want Sandy. Last reply on May 12, 2008 19:38.
Howdy,
We've had such incredible feedback on last week's big update [http://getsatisfaction.com/iwantsandy...], it's been all we could do just to take it all in, listen to what you liked and didn't, and find the odd bits and bobs we managed to overlook. Thanks to all of you who not only took the time to explore some of the nooks and crannies of the update, but took the trouble to write up your results, make suggestions, and share your experiences with us and your neighbors.
Today's update addresses much of what you pointed out — with more tweaks and twiddles to come — and continues to build on the web interface work we've been doing over the past couple of weeks.
There are bug fixes and improvements aplenty, but perhaps most notable is something many of you have been asking for for some time...
=====
NEW: Inline action links
You asked for them, and you've got them! You'll now find inline links for those actions you perform several times a day — editing, deleting (forgetting), and archiving (along with the more obvious to-do toggling we introduced last week). You can still click any item's name to see more detail and find links to less common actions, but you no longer have to do so just to edit, delete, or archive. You know what they say: a click in time saves nine! :-)
=====
NEW: Archived and repetition indicators
We've been finding some of the niceties in the new web interface we've been working on too useful not to share and so will be introducing a couple-three of them with each update along the way.
In this update you'll notice that repeating appointments, reminders, and to-dos now have a spiral repetition indicator to call attention to themselves: it's a subtle but surprisingly helpful way to spot those daily, weekly, monthly, and other repeating events.
We've also made it more obvious which items you've had Sandy archive for you; look for the suitcase indicator alongside the repetition indicator.
And while we were at it, we moved the reminder indicator alongside its two new friends, giving you an at-a-glance view of what's upcoming, what's coming around again, and what's safely tucked away in Sandy's archive.
=====
ADDED: Your stuff > Archives
Speaking of archived items... Thanks to all of you who pointed out that it wasn't obvious how to browse to archived items there's now an "Archives" link (you'll find it under the "Your stuff" menu on Sandy's web site) that brings your archived stuff to within easy reach. (Tip! Bring archived items back to the forefront by clicking their inline "unarchive" link.) Visit your archived stuff at http://iwantsandy.com/archives .
=====
TWEAKED: Scheduled to-dos rejoin appointments
You'll be pleased to see scheduled to-dos (those set for a particular date or time) once again appearing alongside your appointments when you browse Your stuff > Appointments [http://iwantsandy.com/appointments].
=====
TWEAKED: "Show past" comes back from, well, the past
An obvious omission (so obvious it slipped by us unnoticed) from last week's update was the "Show past" link you'll need to go back in time to old appointments, reminders, and scheduled to-dos. You'll find the "Show past" link back where it belongs at the top-right of your Appointments list at http://iwantsandy.com/appointments .
=====
FIXED: British Summer Time
UK folks will find that Sandy has loped back into British Summer Time. Thanks, Zu [http://getsatisfaction.com/iwantsandy...] for pointing out that she had sprung a little too far forward for your needs.
Onward and upward!
Rael

Can you send me updates by email? in I want Sandy. Last reply on May 07, 2008 19:38.
I was just in the community trying to find out why Sandy's email looks different. I made me wonder if there's somewhere I can sign up to get information about updates sent to me by email. I like knowing about the new features but I don't often go to the community section. When I do go to the community, I don't have time to look through a lot of messages so I usually just read what's new and what's popular. I know this means I miss important stuff if I doesn't happen to be in one of those categories. So, my question is, it is possible to get important updates or information about major changes sent to me some other way, like email? Or even a note on my Daily Digest saying "check out new features in the community" or something like that. Thanks. -

Client (0.29) no longer logging in - related to Pownce changes from yesterday? in Pownce Monkey. Last reply on May 08, 2008 23:43.
Hi there!
My client won't log into Pownce anymore, although the website itself seems to work just fine. Has Pownce made some problematic API backend changes or are the new features like public data sharing and larger file sizes causing problems? -

Tracking changes, including page deletes in PBwiki. Last reply on May 05, 2008 15:29.
I am using my pbwiki as a class webpage. I need to be able to keep track of who makes what changes, because I want to be able to grade participation in the wiki, and also keep track of any vandalism.
So there are two problems, one right from the begining. If I invite my students by plugging their email into the invite screen, they get an email that has a link, the link asks them to create a password for their pbwiki account, and then they can add my wiki to their account. The problem is that, now instead of a name, like "Joe Smith", I see in my Users list an email like "jojowikity123@someemail.com".
The second problem is that, when I look at the history for a page, I usually see who edited it (but it seems like a page with one edit doesn't show it), but I can't see who deleted a page. Not too much of a problem since I don't have any students who have the ability to delete pages, but I might have some students become moderators, and then that's something that I'd need. It'd also be nice to see that I've deleted a page anyway, so that I could undelete it later. -

Proposed rule amendments in Hubdub. Last reply on April 14, 2008 14:45.
We haven't updated the rules for a month now. We've had to escalate a number of questions in that time and I thought it would be a good idea to build the resolutions to those questions into the rules. Most of these are common sense but I think it helps to formalise that. The proposed additions are:
2.2.3 Time, Time Zones and Geography
• Unless otherwise specified, the relevant time period to which the question refers begins from the date of creation of the question
2.2.5 Types of question
• Questions should have a clear resolution and not be open to gaming. Questions that have failed this criteria include number of Google search results for a certain term (varies by user), eBay listings, home page tickers and whether a particular picture will appear on a news site’s home page. [last part added]
2.2.7 Disputes
• In identifying the common sense meaning Hubdub admin may draw on the final resolution of previously disputed questions
2.2.8 Voiding Questions
• A question will be considered a duplicate if its true forecast probability is 95% or greater similar to an existing question (e.g. ‘Will candidate X drop out of the race by March 3rd?’ would generally be considered a duplicate of ‘Will candidate X drop out of the race by March 2nd?’)
2.2.10 Gaming
• Gaming of the system is explicitly not allowed. Gaming includes creation of multiple accounts and creation of questions with deliberately inaccurate estimates however we cannot provide an exhaustive list of what is considered gaming. As a guide, if you believe the wider Hubdub community would consider an activity as gaming then it probably is.
• In the event that user is considered to be gaming he/she may receive a warning, get publicly named as a gamer, get their account fine and/or have their account closed. In general, users will receive a warning before other measures are taken.
2.3.1 Politics Category
• Unless specified otherwise, a question asking when a public figure will resign will be settled on the date the figure announces their intention to resign rather than the date the resignation becomes effective (the Spitzer clause)
2.3.3.2 TV Shows
• Questions may be asked about television programs where results are announced live, for example, American Idol. Questions may also be asked on television programs which are pre-recorded, but for which the outcome is not known (for example, if two different outcomes have been recorded). However, questions related to pre-recorded shows were the result is known are banned.
• All questions relating to the show "Roadies", spin-offs or variants of it are banned outright
• Settlement will be based on the final outcome of the Show as televised either as live or recorded on the official associated television network.
That's it! Any comments, suggestions, amendments or additions? -

UPDATE for February 5th, 2008 in I want Sandy. Last reply on March 05, 2008 11:51.
Hello!
Last night's update — and I apologize for just now getting to the update notes — put in place some work we've been doing in the background to enable Sandy to do a few things we'll be talking about in the coming week or so. Additionally, we put in some fixes for things y'all have pointed out and a couple of nice new bits you should enjoy.
NEW: Print style sheet
We completely reworked the print stylesheet so that printing any of Your stuff or your Daily Digest produces a nice all-but-greyscale paper copy for you to take with you as you head out in the morning. We've even added a few blank lines under the Calendar, To-dos, and tagged sections so that you can write things in as they come up and synch up with Sandy in the evening. And we've included a calendar in the right-hand sidebar (Daily Digest only), otherwise leaving you plenty of room to jot down assorted notes to yourself or things to tell Sandy about.
NEW: Unnamed reminders
Sometimes — whether by accident or otherwise — Sandy is asked for a reminder without any clue as to what the reminder is all about (ex. "Remind me in 15 minutes."). She does her best to extrapolate from the subject of the email message, any other text nearby, etc. If she really couldn't find any further detail, she would just let you know so that you could give it another whirl.
Now, even if there's nothing else to go on, she'll deliver that reminder (along with anything relevant she can find) to keep you on time and on track. (You'll see these show up on the web and in email as "A reminder.")
NEW: Special @goal tag
If you've not yet checked out Sandy's new Goals functionality, you should take a gander at http://getsatisfaction.com/iwantsandy... .
IF you're among those of Sandy's clients who have already set a goal (Click the "Customize" link on your Daily Digest page at http://iwantsandy.com/home) and are having Sandy keep it front-and-center, you'll love the new @goal tag. Simply tag something with @goal and it'll replace your prior goal and appear in both the web and email versions of your digest. For example:
> Remember "The difference between theory and practice is far greater in practice than in theory" @goal
TWEAKED: Your Daily Digest is home
Thanks to a great suggestion by Nik [http://gsfn.us/t/al5], when you log in, return to iwantsandy.com and are already logged in, or visit a few days later after checking the "Remember me" checkbox on the Login page, you'll always return to either the Welcome page or your Home/Daily Digest page on iwantsandy.com. This means you can just go straight to http://iwantsandy.com and (if you're logged in) you'll be whisked off home to your Daily Digest.
Of course if you want to visit Sandy's home page at http://iwantsandy.com, you can click the the "I want Sandy" link (formerly "Home," which was confusing to say the least :-\) and you'll be taken to http://iwantsandy.com/iwantsandy (the self same page as you'd see if you weren't logged in and visited Sandy's home page).
TWEAKED: Past events don't disappear from Digest tag sections
Some of you asked that Sandy not remove past events (appointments, to-dos) from tag sections in your Daily Digest. Now they'll stick around until you @archive them or mark them as @done. Good idea!
UPDATED: The Tags menu is gone, long live the Your tags sidebar!
In response to lots of great feedback from you and some hand-wringing at Sandy World HQ about just how to make it better, we've removed the "Tags" menu from the menu bar and put those Special tags (i.e. todo, done, archive, weekly, twitter, ...) in the sidebar beneath Your tags.
So there's now just one place to find and browse by tags — yours and all the special tags, whether you've used them or not — and that's in the right-hand sidebar.
TWEAKED: Daily Digest is home
Nothing's really changed here, but we did away with the confusing "Today" menu bar text and replaced it with "Daily Digest" which more accurately represents what it is — a digest of your day, no matter which day you choose.
TWEAKED: "Remember me" off by default
The "Remember me" checkbox on the Login page now once again defaults to being unchecked.
TWEAKED: Dates and times more concise
Dates and times in your Daily Digest and Your stuff (on the Web and in email) are now even more context-sensitive than they were before. We went out on a limb and assumed you know what year it is ;-).
FIXED: Reminder statuses now completely independent
A handful of you received duplicate reminders via SMS and email — I do apologize to those affected — when Twitter was down the earlier this week due to a bug in the way reminders were related to one-another (all versions of any one reminder were re-tried — and so re-sent — when only the Twitter reminder was failing). Reminder statuses are now completely independent of one-another meaning that this won't happen again.
FIXED: Expired SSL certificate
While we update our SSL certificates on a regular basis and did just that the other night, one server didn't get the update and so caused some browsers to pop up a warning each time you visited a page on iwantsandy.com. This has since been fixed — thanks to the valiant efforts of some of you folks in pointing it out, taking screenshots, and troubleshooting.
Phew! — I need a nap after just writing all that up. But we've plenty more afoot and so I leave you for now and return to helping Sandy better help you. Keep that feedback coming...

Wuala needs restart for a suitable connection to be recognized by whatever registers your uptime! in Wuala.
Dear Supportteam,
When you change your connection to allow the port you entered in wuala, the program keeps on counting the time it is online as OFFLINE time. Altough, you were online and available for trading storage. This means that I now added another day of downtime to my records while my server was online since approximately 2pm (cest=gmt+1). Which kind is kind of not nice.
Please fix that for future users who have a permanently on server and don't restart the app after opening ports or changing the port.
One more addition: Force the update on the client from the next version on (or at least alert users who don't turn off their app, that there is a version available).
Thanks =) -

More context removed when editing a todo in I want Sandy.
I have todos that are multi step. So I just edit the details when a step has been completed to let me know what is still pending. Today I went to edit a todo, which has more context [so you have to hit the link]; when I went to edit the todo on the "less context" information was shown. Thus I could only edit after that point, and couldn't see all the notes for my todo. -

Any plans at giving us a tab to show us what changes we've suggested have been accepted? in Wakoopa. Last reply on November 07, 2007 13:27.
A kind of Wiki-type changelog of things we've suggested and whether or not they've been accepted. I like contributing to the software information, but it's a pain to check up with all the software and see if your changes were accepted.
It's not really even an issue, but I love what you guys are doing and look forward to future expansions!
