Why does Dreamweaver CS3 render code so poorly in design view? in Adobe.

To know what my pages are going to look like I need F12 into Firefox. What's the deal? Can't you just build a version of Firefox into Dreamweaver?

Login box is broken in FF3! in Shelfari. Last reply on June 05, 2008 20:03.

It's a minor issue, but the login box on the homepage of shelfari.com in FF3 RC1 is extremely wide, making it difficult to enter username and password.

Wrong cursor icon used when hovering over text in comments. in Intense Debate.

When I am viewing comments on my site, the mouse cursor remains an arrow while hovering over text, rather than being the "text" cursor (the I-beam thing).

I am using Firefox 3 on Windows. If I modify the CSS on my site and add this rule, it works correctly:
    * { cursor: auto !important; }

Which tells me that Intense Debate is setting the cursor CSS property for some reason.

This is probably because you are setting it to "default" rather than "auto" somewhere. "default" means system default (the arrow), not the webrowser's default. "auto" means the web browser decides which cursor to use.

New CSS link selector for reddit.com thumbnails in Fluid. Last reply on June 01, 2008 22:11.

Now that reddit.com has had a redesign, the thumbnails plug-in doesn't work.

Changing the CSS link selector, in the Fluid Preferences, to "#siteTable .link .entry .title" fixes the problem.

Please feed this back into your build of Fluid.

    Thanks

What css classes do I need to change? in Intense Debate. Last reply on May 27, 2008 20:14.

My blog has a gradient for its background, light on the bottom, and dark at the top. This makes any comment text readable only at the very lowest portion of the screen. I have been trying to alter the stylesheet, as per your instructions, to mo avail. Ideally, I would like to add a background to the comments area, or barring that, change the text color from black to white.

Unfortunately, everything that I have tried has resulted in no change. Additionally, I can't seem to tell the Intense Debate not to use the style sheet I specified in my account. It just keeps popping back in.

What class(es) do I need to change? What is the eta on the developer documentation for your stylesheet?

One feature suggestion, if I may: allow your users to choose at the very least a basic theme for their blog, ie: black text on white ground, or white text on black ground. Even that would be better than what is displaying on my blog right now.

You can view what I'm talking about here: http://www.techne-eikon.com/link-love...

I will leave the plugin installed for the time being so that you can see for yourself, but I can't leave it like this for long (heh, no pressure... sorry)

    Thanks, Marc

Cell Background Color is Broken in PBwiki. Last reply on May 21, 2008 23:43.

In PBwiki 2.0, I was editing a table that I had just created, and I added a background color to one of the cells. When I saved my page, the background color had not changed. I currently use Firefox.

When I checked out the page source, pbwiki had added a bgcolor attribute to the cell in question. I was able to fix the problem by changing it to a style attribute (namely, style="background-color:<color>"), but this hack really should not be necessary.</color>

Writing non css in the css in Soup. Last reply on May 20, 2008 13:30.

    Hej!
If inserted in my css (clicked on edit CSS) the following string "<style>", i wanted to see if you escape or remove it. but it got saved.
    1) i think you should remove every tag like string
    2) maybe you can also use a css-validator on the server-side and deny saving when it is invalid css.
    3) could you please remove this from my css (bastilian.soup.io)
    </style>

Is there a way to customize the badge? in TwitPic. Last reply on May 15, 2008 21:52.

Is there a way to customize the badge? I noticed the id="twitpic_badge_container_v1", but you have a STYLE declared on every DIV. Do you have an option where we can turn the STYLE off and allow the user to layout the badge with CSS? (See Flickr Badge for example)

Broken CSS on my Home (but no one else's) in Firefox for Mac in Twitter. Last reply on May 15, 2008 09:20.

When I view my home page, the timeline tweets are spilling out to the right, covering over the sidebar so that I can't actually use any of the links there, not to mention making it a pain to read my timeline. This has only been a problem for me today, it's only a problem on my home page (and not when viewing others' pages), it is a problem on both my Macs, and changing the window size doesn't affect it.

Make PMOG popups ignore page CSS in GameLayers.

Is there any way to except the PMOG popups from the CSS of the page? When mission lightposts or portals come up on their colored backgrounds but with the text and links colored and backgrounded to match the CSS of the page, sometimes they're unreadable.

More styling... in Twitter. Last reply on May 10, 2008 10:11.

I'd totally love to see some more options for styling my twitter page. I'm not saying being able to ditch the twitter logo but perhaps having more control over the css styles than we already have? I for one feel almost limited in my creativity with the options twitter gives me.

Thoughts? Shall we discuss a little more or is this in the pipe line already? I'd be totally stoked if this was on the product map somewhere.

HTML and CSS Magnetic Words Kit in O'Reilly Media. Last reply on May 06, 2008 21:03.

Hi, I wrote this earlier, I'm the one with the cupcake icon. Anway, my idea is for a HTML and CSS magnetic word kit. I was reading a chapter from Head First into HTML and CSS, and started thinking to myself if there was a faster way to try out the examples and make maps and stuff without going into editor and rewriting everything. So I came to Magnetic Word Kits for HTML and CSS. It will be custom made, and incorporate all the new languages of HTML and CSS. What do you think?

Image Properties Dialog Lost Some Features in PBwiki. Last reply on May 05, 2008 19:25.

CSS b0rken in Mento. Last reply on May 03, 2008 15:06.

I use a light-on-dark custom scheme, and your CSS kills me. You have a number of places where you're setting foreground without the background. Buttons you have set to black text, but haven't forced the background to anything (they show up black for me as well) - some dropdowns have a forced white background with the foreground unchanged (white foreground for me) - and you also haven't explicitly set the background colour of your HTML tag.

Do your users a favour - don't assume what they've set as their browser defaults.
