ThumbStrips FAQ in ThumbStrips. Last reply on July 02, 2008 13:30.

I wanted to consolidate some of the questions we are often asked about ThumbStrips. I hope this makes it easier to find answers to your questions.

    1. If I close Firefox is my thumbstrip saved automatically?
Yes it is automatically saved, but will be overwritten each browser session. They are located here:
    - Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\*.default\chrome\filmstrips\_ThumbStrips History from Last Browser Session.film

    - Mac OS X (Leopard): ./Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/*.default/chrome/filmstrips/_ThumbStrips History from Last Browser Session.film

    - Linux: /home/*username*/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/chrome/filmstrips/_ThumbStrips History from Last Browser Session.film

    2. ThumbStrips slows down my machine
We optimized the code as much as possible, so here are some suggestions
    - upgrade to FF3. They have improved memory leak issues and it runs much faster.

    - Go to Configure -> Options -> More -> and change how often snapshots are taken to “less frequently”

    3. Is there a shortcut for opening and closing the ThumbStrips window?
    - Yes, F2 or CTRL-SHIFT-F
    - Also, F4 turns recording on and off

I will keep this list updated as we get more great questions.

Is there a way to add a late fee as a percentage of the invoice total? For instance, can I set a "master" late fee of 1.5% per month overdue and have it applied to all overdue inovices?

Can I specify a custom link for my event page? in Spongecell.

Have you ever wanted to send a user to your event page rather than ours? Well, we have listened to your feedback and will release this functionality at the end of February.

This feature will specifically enable you to change the event page to one of your choosing. This link will propagate through the calendar and widget applications.

Where's the "Hello, we're Get Satisfaction"? in Get Satisfaction. Last reply on June 23, 2008 18:52.

I think it would be wonderful to have a better, more multimedia-oriented introduction to using Get Satisfaction for people who aren't necessarily tech savvy. I'd like my organization (ONE/Northwest, http://www.onenw.org/) to transition to GS so that our community can answer each other's questions, instead of having every single one run though a support ticket, but they generally aren't Millenials. If, when logging in for the first time, a 2 minute video on how to use GS showed up, I think that would be a good way to make sure it's visible and usable.

The intro video for Skitch (http://skitch.com/) is a good example for this.

    Challenge your friends in newzwag.

If you don't want to play the basic quiz you can challenge a friend to go head to head.

    * There are 10 questions in a challenge the one with the most points wins

    * You only have three cheats in a challenge so use them wisely

    * Watch your wins rack up on your challenge leader board

    * Points won in a challenge also count towards the master leader board

    * Cheats won in a challenge can be used in the standard game

    * The winner of a challenge gets to smack talk the loser

    * The loser gets to smack back

    Cheats explained in newzwag.

    * The 50/50 eliminates two wrong answers, leaving you with a 50/50 chance to get it right. Careful here, though, because the clock keeps ticking.

    * Stop the clock freezes the 30-sec timer so you can take as much time as you need to Google the question.

*Free Pass automatically gives you the right answer, but you’ve got to be quick if you use it to get the maximum points. This is a great one to have - use it wisely.

*Poll the audience shows you how many other players chose each possible answer. Be careful, though, the "wisdom of the crowd" isn't always right.

How do I win cheats in newzwag.

These valuable little things will help you advance in the game.

    * You win a “Free Pass” for saving your scores (creating a login).

    * You earn cheats for every new level you achieve.

    * You secure a “Stop the Clock” for every streak of 10 right answers.

    * If you’re struggling, you’ll get a “50/50” after a losing streak of 10 in a row.

    * You gain a “50/50” for answering 3 questions correctly in a row if each question scores higher than the last.

    * You receive a “Poll the Audience”for scoring 300 points in 4 consecutive questions.

    * You can also get a “Poll the Audience” for missing a question that 75% of players got right.
    * You win a random cheat for answering a bonus question correctly.

How do I remove an access point? in Skyhook Wireless. Last reply on June 20, 2008 07:50.

So I'm a bit concerned about my privacy. I have read your privacy policy, and I understand your company is collecting this information with good intentions, but I think I'd still like to remove my access point from your database. I run a private access point so it's pointless for others to locate me with my information anyways. How do I go about removing my information?

    Thank you!

Where's the RSS? in BlogRovR. Last reply on June 19, 2008 19:37.

I consider myself a WEB 2.0 savvy user and able to go deep quickly when new features, products, and gadgets appear in the medium. I have a knack for choosing ALL STARS and brand loyalty. I was greatly anticipating BlogRovr in FLOCK from the mozilla feedback. Instead, I am puzzled by the "brick wall" that keeps me from going deep into functions of BlogRovr. Pop-up widgets updating content from RSS/ATOM feeds when I am onlne browsing with FLOCk is not intrusive if the content is current and rich from my selected blogs. I created a large index of mp3blogs on the user's start page at BlogRovr home. Instead, besides the start page listing an index: WHERE is the content? AND when does the pop-up appear? If it waits till I visit the blog, what is the point? Most of the time, even if blogrovr is enabled nothing happens or if a pop-up appears the content is extremely dated, not crisp!! My blog is the only site I visit that blogrovr consistently appears in pop-up but the content is very dated. So what is BlogRovr supposed to do? I quickly embraced and included the site in website Q&A's questions about RSS readers and now I feel those recommendations are as disappointing as a result. Is this dysfunction unique to me and perhaps a problem with my PC configuiration?

Want to hear from BlogRovr and other user's too.

    Woof!! Woof!

How can I stop duplicating contacts with my Treo 650? It seems to add a contact every time a get a call. I use it with Outlook. in Palm. Last reply on June 19, 2008 10:50.

I seems the only way to get rid of duplicate contacts is to physically go into Outlook and delete them individually. Is there a better way to eliminate duplicate contacts? I am a real estate broker and I get several calls for the same person. Any suggestions?
