    Loopt in Oz in Loopt. Last reply on July 06, 2008 18:48.

    The Apple Australia website shows your software featured (http://www.apple.com/au/iphone/appstore/) but I can't find this on your website. My Australian carrier will be Optus.
    Could you please confirm if this will be available in Australia on launch this week, as I would love to connect!!!

    Pownce needs SMS to really take advantage of its grouping capabilities.

    As a college student, I would like to be able to track house parties with friends. If 30 people are sharing Pownce notes with each other on a Friday or Saturday night, there will never be a slow night. Once a party gets broken up or starts winding down, Pownce comes to the rescue.

    I am from the Netherlands and I am soon going to buy an iPhone. I believe Brightkite is very promising since it is one of the best location based services outhere for Europeans, and unlike Loopt its free. My issue:

    I believe this service to be only very successful if it can run completely automatically. With this i mean that the application runs in the background (in the iPhone's case with the push service apple provides) giving periodic checkins wherever i might be, continuously, every 5 or 10 minutes or so. I hope this is possible to implement, optional at-least. Please let me hear from one of the people inside the company if this option is or will be in the pipeline.

    You can't sync Notes on iPhone and Mac? and MobileMe? What?? in Apple. Last reply on July 05, 2008 16:44.

    I don't understand why Steve Jobs left out Notes syncing. I mean he actually said you can sync Notes at Macword 2007 Keynote, when he introduced the iPhone to us. There is Notes on iPhone and there's Notes in Leopard. Why not make them sync? It's a no-brainer. For me, if Notes do not sync with my Mac, then that application is useless. They realeased MobileMe and I can't believe they left out Notes and To-do List. Who really misses these features? And you CAN sync Notes and to-do list with .Mac, so why not MobileMe?

    Can't select text on certain iPhone-friendly sites in Fluid. Last reply on July 04, 2008 21:18.

    I've found at least two sites so far that disallow selecting/copying text when loaded as Fluid SSBs: brightkite.com and amazon.com.

    I'm guessing it has to do with the "viewport" metatag being set, but I could be wrong. Any ideas? It's definitely annoying not being able to copy and paste from these SSBs!

    Or in the whole iPod application.

    Better yet, make the search feature global on the iPhone.

    Emailed photos from iPhone aren't showing up in Brightkite. Last reply on July 04, 2008 02:36.

    I've tried emailing photos a few times from my iPhone to the email address on my "Mobile" page, but nothing's appearing on the site. Any suggestions as to what's up? (I just sent a test shot from my laptop, and that went fine)

    "turning on" the iphone for twitter doesn't work in Twitter. Last reply on July 03, 2008 18:12.

    I've tried several times now to text the code to Twitter to confirm my iPhone for text messages. I'm super-certain I've entered the right Twitter number, and the right activation code. The iphone shows the sms as having gone through. But still, the /devices page still shows it as needing to be activated. HELP.

    FAC sync with iPhone? in FreeAgent Central. Last reply on July 03, 2008 08:55.

    Are there any plans to provide iPhone sync with FAC?

    There's a lot of activity amongst developers at the moment to provide WebDav synching for the iPhone, just wondered if the guys at FAC are looking at this at all?

    I'm only asking as I'll be getting my shiny new 3G on 11 July!

    Accidently dropped my iPhone in Apple.

    The iPhone is slippery sometime. I accidently dropped and crack the screen. I wonder if Apple willing to fix or replace it. If not Would they sell me a new one on July 11 for $199. I don't want to pay 499 for the new one.

    Missing my photos in Twitter.

    Why don't my photos appear in my tweets to Twitter (using Twinkle) from my iPhone anymore? Instead there is a link that takes me to a PolarBear Farm test message.

    I am not sure if these have been answered yet but I can't seem to find them so I will assume its not.

    I presume since the iPhone SDK has the location based API and Loopt uses that for location, will loopt use the location from 2G iPhones that use the current cell tower triangulation method?
    and
    Will the iPhone version be able to alert me when a friend is within a mile of me, even when I am not in the application? (say im listening to music or something). WIth that, will my iPhone automatically update my location if I am not in the application at all?

    Thanks for any help. I look forward to using Loopt.

    Got my iPhone wet, and Apple replaced it with a new one... in Apple. Last reply on July 02, 2008 10:45.

    Call it good karma or luck, but I thought I was doomed to pay an arm and a leg for iPhone repair. I was so amazed they replaced my phone, I thought I'd share my appreciation for the Apple Genius Bar.

    Even though I got it wet, the water sensor was undamaged, so they replaced it noting "that is just stopped working." Amazing, truly amazing.

    From where i stand, after some extensive reading on your blog there is going to be a native version of Brightkite on the iPhone... My question how does this differ from the web app that is already out there? What kind of extra's is the native app going to give?

    I am btw all for native apps in stead of web apps, so well done!
