How do I edit tables without it screwing everything up? in PBwiki. Last reply on April 27, 2008 21:58.

Editing tables is disastrous, I want to change the size of 1 column of cells. Changing the size in cell properties does nothing. Changing the table size changes them all. Why can the tables not have individually moveable borders like any other decent text program in the world?

Trying to reformat text in the table is a mess.

Tried creating the table in word and inserting it, pbwiki just screws it up and it is unfixable.

Cell Background Color is Broken in PBwiki. Last reply on May 21, 2008 23:43.

In PBwiki 2.0, I was editing a table that I had just created, and I added a background color to one of the cells. When I saved my page, the background color had not changed. I currently use Firefox.

When I checked out the page source, pbwiki had added a bgcolor attribute to the cell in question. I was able to fix the problem by changing it to a style attribute (namely, style="background-color:<color>"), but this hack really should not be necessary.</color>

PBWiki footer content turns over tables in PBwiki. Last reply on May 21, 2008 18:32.

Hi - I made a number of edits to a page in my wiki yesterday, including copying/pasting a table from a webpage into the wiki. I added additional content on the page following the table. After each Save the formatting all appeared fine.

Today the page is corrupted - the 'Wiki Information' and 'Recent PBWiki Blog Posts' sections that normally appear in each wiki page footer are appearing in the body of the table I copied in, and all of the text in the table and everything that followed it on the page has disappeared. I've managed to get to the history for the page, but all of the earlier revisions are corrupted in the same way. Is there any way I can correct this and retrieve my work? All help appreciated!

Location, location, location.... in PBwiki. Last reply on April 07, 2008 11:35.

    Hello PB,
The table I created in my Wiki looks perfect in Edit, but when I save, it drops out of sight to the bottom of the page. I've tried shrinking it to allow lots of room for the sidebar menu, I've left-aligned it, but still no luck.
How can I get it to stay at the top of the page?
    Thanks.

Has anyone been able to successfully add a column to a table? in PBwiki. Last reply on March 17, 2008 20:14.

Has anyone figured out how to ADD A COLUMN to a table?

Now, I know what the directions say, but I can't get it to actually work.

I can add rows. I can delete rows.

    I can delete columns.

I cannot ADD a column. This is EVERY table...EVERY time.

Mac or PC ... same problem.

So I've resorted to rebuilding my tables in their entirety and adding columns I don't really need, "just in case...". I can't tell you the number of tables I've had to rebuild from scratch just to get a new column!

    Surely, there's a better solution!

Document management - files don't add to table in PBwiki. Last reply on March 15, 2008 05:24.

I copied the source code for document management template from quickstart1/pbwiki. When adding a file, it does not show up on the table. Also, if I upload files - will ALL the file be in the table, or how can I choose which to manage on the document management page?

Linking files in tables - link goes to wrong cell in PBwiki. Last reply on March 14, 2008 18:25.

Within a table, I click in the cell where the link should be located and attach/link the file, it always adds the link to the FOLLOWING cell. The only way I've been able to make it go to the right location is to right arrow over from the previous cell, THEN attach the file. This won't work well for collaboration, as folks will get frustrated and/or not understand how to do this.

Customizing a Table - I have inserted a table into my wiki. The data inside some of the cells is wrapping around. I would like to increase the width of the cells in some of the columns. Can you advise? 2) Can I remove the grid lines on the table so they do not show up? Thank you! in PBwiki. Last reply on February 03, 2008 13:26.
