Are special router settings required for TalkShoe Live?
Is there anything I need to do to my router to improve my TalkShoe Live call quality?

Inappropriate?Hi Xen,
You don't need to change any router settings. One thing that could improve Call Quality is if you Locally Recorded using an Audio recording/editor like Audacity and then uploading that MP3 to the TalkShoe Systems.

Inappropriate? If you use TalkShoe Live (web version), you shouldn't need to change any router settings. However, if you use TalkShoe Live Pro (the downloaded version), please ensure that port 4900 is open for TCP traffic.
Further, if you use the ShoePhone feature of TalkShoe Live Pro, ports 4000, 4001, and 5060 must be open.
One thing that can improve the quality of recorded calls is to capture a local recording using an audio recording/editor such as Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) and then uploading the resulting MP3 to TalkShoe. While this is more complex technically and your callers will still be at the same quality, you the host will be captured in full "studio" quality rather than over your 8 kHz phone or VoIP connection.
