Connecting to talskshoe via SIP without dialing the cast iD and PIN.
Hi,
I would like to request you to add direct access to talkshoe casts via sip would be very beneficial, i.e. without dialing the cast iD and PIN.
Eliminating DTMF problems with some sip phones.
I suggest using the form sip:castID*PIN@sip.takshoe.com
i.e. if the
castID : 52023
PIN : 1472580363
then using
sip:52023*1472580363@sip.takshoe.com
would immediately connect me to the conference without using the dialpad.
Can you respond to my request?

We recently implemented exactly such a solution. Our own ShoePhone now connects without sending any DTMF tones. It's faster and much more reliable.

Is it also possible for a simple software sip phone like Gizmo?
Can you implement this using just the sip uri?

Inappropriate?It is not possible to implement something like sip:52023*1472580363@sip.talkshoe.com since our bridge vendor does not support it. The bridge does accept talkcast id and pin via SIP SUBJECT header and thats what shoephone does, so with shoephone there are no dtmf issues and no additional effort of putting in talkcast id and pin.
In a sip phone like Gizmo we have not seen any DTMF issue so you should not have any trouble connecting to the talkcast via Gizmo as well.

Gizmo5 via the iPhone version of Fring does have this problem, no DTMF, and I think it affects the Fring versions for other mobiles too.
