Inappropriate? This sounds like a bandwidth issue. If you were downloading some files onto your PC while broadcasting your show, or uploading files, etc. This will affect your bandwidth and cause your audio to be choppy or sporatic. How were you connected to Talkshoe, Shoephone, Skype, other SIP interface or by landline or cell phone? Were you attempting to do something else bandwidth intensive at the same time as you were doing your show?

I talked to another user on here and they said Talkshoe is not good at all when it comes to hosting a call when my laptop is connected to a wireless router. I now have to do the show through Gizmo5. Is this something Talkshoe will work out in the near future? Is there a way to improving the sound quality of my call by raising the kbps? BTW I was doing nothing else other than using shoephone and hosting the call. Nothing else was running on my computer. Thanks -
Inappropriate?Talkshoe's encoding is set at a slightly different standard than most MP3 recordings. However, most recordings are clear dependent on your connection to the service. For example, if you use a cell phone to connect, then your quality will be lower than if you use Skype to connect to the service.
Using Shoephone to connect will make your quality dependent on your connection to the Internet. Also the quality of your Microphone will come into play as a lower quality microphone, such as the ones that come with your new PC's or the built in microphones in the web cams, are not high quality and will result in a lower quality recording.
If you want a higher quality recording available for your download listeners, then you should look into using something like Audacity to do a local recording of your show while you are broadcasting and then after your show is over, upload the higher quality recording that you made from your local PC.
