Playing Music on Live Shows
Hey Guys, I'm starting to host shows again on talkshoe and i'm thinking about playing music during the show and intro to the show and such. I currently use XLite to call in and i use a headset. I've downloaded VEmotion but i'm not sure on how I play music through xlite so people can hear it. I've also tried Dropsicle but i'm not sure how to play music through xlite for people to hear. Just wondering, can someone help with this problem? Is there anyone hosting shows who use these programs who can help? I'd appreicate it if someone could help, Thanks in advance.

Inappropriate?I do this now by calling in from a phone and using XLite as a "mixer" line. My vista sound drivers won't let me feed both computer audio and mic through... wish I knew of a way to make it do that. The system I'm using works well though.

Inappropriate?vEmotion would probably be the simplest and easiest way. Try it again, after opening and closing both X-Lite and vEmotion.

Inappropriate?Open vEmotion BEFORE you open your SIP client, be it X-Lite or Gizmo. It has to insert itself in the audio chain before the SIP client gets in. After that it's fairly straight forward.
