problem with the API URL
Recently the API URL seems to have stopped displaying information.
I have been using this API URL;
http://api.talkshoe.com/TalkShoeServi...
and it returns an XML file. It has been working for a number of weeks. Today I noticed that in the XML is no longer showing the proper information regarding LIVE and STREAMING. The API URL does return an XML file, but some of the data in it no longer seems to be accurate.
I see in the XML file even when the show is live and I am listening to it via a 2nd browser window;
<live>false</live>
and
<streaming>false</streaming>
And as I said, the stream was definitely live and was definitely streaming. I can find nothing on the developer site that indicates any changes have taken place.
Can you give me a hand.
Cheers! webulite@gmail.com

Inappropriate?I don’t know if my issue was the same, but it looks like it. Our show - #26831 – uses its own chat room where we put in a badge that people can listen through. Last night when we went live, the badge never updated to show that people could listen. I had to direct them all to TalkShoe so they could listen live, which some did and some didn’t. Was there a badge update that I didn’t hear about? Was there some other reason that the badge might not be streaming the live show as it always has?
I’m frustrated

Josh, my reply-all failed -- We have a live show that started at 10 PM eastern (and is still on) and none of the hundreds of badges on our site or myspace pages are showing "Live now" -
I never got a reply from you on this issue. -
I tried to "reply-all" to the email, but it failed. So I posted here again and hit the Twitter hoping you would see one or the other. -
Josh Budde, I see you were trying to address Nerraux, who was confirming my not about the API URL problem... But I have not seen you or any other company rep address my original problem note. WAS/IS there a problem with the API URL as I was describing it 3 days ago, and Nerraux was confirming. If you don't know, as a company rep could you please try to get someone in the firm to track it down? This seems to now be the company's only tech support area... and this is a question that has now been posed and open for a few days. Is there another TalkShoe company tech support contact or is this now the only method of contact?

Nerraux, Could you let me know your Website, so I can verify that the badge is not working? -
Inappropriate?Yes, I understand. I assume that you also use the API to determine when to show the "badge" like "on the air" on your web site? I also when I noticed this problem with my API use, I went to the "Live Now" list of items on talkshoe, and started pluging in the IDs of the various shows that were on right then, and not a single one of them showed up as being LIVE or STREAMING. So it is not just my show. It is nice to hear that you also had a similar problem, because it gives me some kind of reality check.
Can I ask you... do you use the API URL to create your badge? Meaning, does your website page that displays the badge that you are on the air, us the API URL to determine weather to show a "LIVE SHOW" or not? I ask so that I can verify that we are talking about the same thing?
Also... this set of pages seems new. I am having a real hard time figuring out how to stay in touch with TalkShoe development. Don't get me wrong, i think they are doing great work, but I am a bit disapointed in how hard it seems to be to keep up on clearly what is happening development wise. This is a developers site, and forum, and this, etc... but no single point for finding out what is happening.
Now that we have verified that it seems that at least two people are having this problem, it would be great if a company rep could appear, say they verified the problem, and let us know that it will either be fixed or provide an alternate method of determining when show is live. I am sure many people want a simple "WE ARE LIVE" image on their site based on the type of check possible with the API URL. I want to know if I am going to have to either wait for the API fix or look for another solution for my site.

Inappropriate?BTW... @6.58AM USA east coast time on 9/5/08... the API URL now seems to show good STREAMING and LIVE data in the XML file. Did the development folks see this entry and make a fix?
