Inappropriate?When a host first opens TalkShoe Live or TalkShoe Live Pro, the record button and certain other host controls are grayed-out and non-functional. The system is designed to prevent operation of these controls before the host has phoned in.
To remedy the situation, phone 724-444-7444 (or use Voice over IP to call the IP address instead - 66.212.134.192 or in some cases 123@66.212.134.192), enter your Call ID, and then enter your host PIN (this is key), and you will see the controls color-up and become functional.
Two common problems include:
1) Not entering the host PIN. If you press 1# to join as a guest, even though you're connected, TalkShoe does not know it's you, the host.
2) Calling from a phone number that is registered to a different host. In this case, the system performs auto-login using Caller ID (AKA, the calling phone number), but as the wrong (unintended) host. In this case, it's easiest to change the PIN on that account so that it no longer matches the phone number you're calling from, in which case you'll be prompted to manually enter the PIN.

Inappropriate?These seem like good bits of information, but is there anywhere that specifically says these are the exact 1-2-3-4 steps that you do to start hosting a call? When I log into my show, it shows that I am in the chat room, but there is nowhere for me to enter a pin, and no where for me to tell if I am get my audio through. What am I missing, where do I need to look?

Starting Your Call:
1) Go to your Call Series page (as described above).
2) To use the web-based TalkShoe Live client, click the green upper “Start My Call” button. To use the more feature-rich downloaded client, click the green lower (and smaller) “TalkShoe Live Pro” button. Note: These buttons will appear 15-minutes before your episode’s scheduled start time.
3) Use a telephone (recommended) or voice-over-IP client (SJPhone, Gizmo5, X-Lite, etc.) to call into your show (note that all dial-in info including your PIN is presented on the TalkShoe Live client). The “recording” and other control buttons will become active (AKA “color up”) only after you call in.
