SHow not Uploading

If your MP3 is not uploading, there are many possible causes. Please check the following:

1) Have you correctly completed all of the required fields in the upload template? Pay particular attention to any error messages appearing in red. For example, the Episode Title must be at least 5 characters.

2) Have you specified a PAST date/time? TalkShoe does not allow uploading of episodes with future dates.

3) Is the audio file an MP3 format? Other formats are not supported. A note here: We highly recommend that you use a sampling rate that is a multiple of 11025 Hz. This will ensure universal playback on all MP3 players.

4) Is the file size less that 100 MB? If it's larger than that, use a lower encoding rate or break the file into parts.

5) Are you on a broadband internet connection (DSL or cable modem)? Upload does not work over dial-up.

6) Is there a TalkShoe system problem? This would typically be advertised near the top of our home page. Currently (9/25/08) the TalkShoe system is operating normally. However, there may have been a transient issue that caused the upload to fail.
